HUI Zhao-xian, born in 1943. Senior Researcher in agricultural technology extension and a senior expert in weed control. He graduated from Kunming Farming and Forestry College and has successively served as a technician and agronomist in Kunming Agricultural Sciences Research Institute, senior agronomist in Kunming Plant Protection and Quarantine Station, chief agronomist in Kunming Agriculture Bureau, deputy director of the Weed Science Branch-Society of China Society of Plant Protection, and vice president of Yunnan Society of Plant Protection Major Achievements include 16 prizes awarded by the Ministry of Agriculture, Yunnan provincial government and the government of Kunming municipality, during 1967-2001, to research projects chaired and participated in weed control technology in farmland, evaluation of herbicide effectiveness, and applied farming technology extension.
