Abstract
 Use of herbicides is well adapted in the developed countries£®Its application techniques have also been developing all the time£®To protect environment£¬improve mankind health and reduce production input£¬many weed scientists worked quite hard to introduce a low rate concept to the growers£®On the bases of reviewing the trend of herbicide use in the developed countries and current Chinese program in integrated weed management£¬suggestions for weed science research in China are also proposed herein.
