| Abstract |
Weed seedbank was a potential weed community and played an important role in sustainable weed management. A total of 28 weed species, mainly belonging to family of Poaceae, Scrophulariaceae and Asteraceae, were recorded in the weed seedbank under rice-rape cropping system. Seedbank density was about 224549.9 seedĄ¤m-2 and 64% of them were seeds of winter rape weeds. As to the vertical distribution of weed seeds in the seedbank, most seeds concentrated on the surface layer (0-5 cm), accounted for 63.88% of the soil, and the density of 5-10 cm and 10-15 cm soil layer were relatively lower, its distribution could be divided into 3 types. Beckmannia syzigachne, Cyperus difformis, Alopecurus aequalis, Lapsana apogonoides and Alopecurus japonicus are dominant weed species in the seedbank, and species composition differed among the soil layer with the increased of soil depth. By taking measures to manipulate the size of weed seedbank, sustainable weed management could be achieved under rice-rape cropping system. |
